Olympus 1050 SW announced
Just when I was all ready to go and get myself an Olympus 1030 SW, they go and announce the 1050 SW. Better than the other way around I suppose.
Waterproof, crushproof, freezeproof and now with tap control for taking pictures with gloves on. I like the idea of that for skiing and snowboarding.

Thanks for linking to my little Olympus Stylus 1050 SW write-up, Andy. I trust you also read my Olympus Stylus 1030 SW review? I am interested in the 1050 SW for the same reason you are - ski photos. But personally, I’d still lean towards the 1030 SW because those cameras need every little bit of image quality help they can get. So I’d prefer to have the 10-MP camera over the 8. We should have an 8-MP 850 SW in-house in a couple of days for studio tests. So you can look at those once they’re posted just to confirm whether the 8 megapixel sensor will do the job for you.
